StackTeck CNC Machinist (Days, Afternoons & Weekend Shift) in Brampton, Ontario

StackTeck supplies a wide range of injection molds and IML automation used to produce plastic parts in applications such as caps, closures, medical, PET preforms, and thinwall packaging; as well as complete system integrations including IML.
SHIFT TIMES:
Days: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Afternoons: Monday to Thursday from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am
Weekend: Friday to Sunday from 3:30 pm to 4:00 am

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up and operate a CNC Precision Mill, Lathe or similar machine
Interprets drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of specific machining operations
Load and edit control media to optimize and/or correct machine performance
Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control elements.
Through the use of precision measurement tools to verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications with tolerances
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment
The proper maintenance of the machine and housekeeping of their work area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
College Diploma or Certified Apprenticeship program in General Machining, Tool & Die or Mould Maker preferred or Mechanical Technician Diploma
Minimum 2+ years of recent experience operating a Mill or Lathe to tight tolerances
Proven knowledge interpreting engineering drawings and use of hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
Ability to work in a high precision, fast paced environment.
