Job Description: The SUD will provide diagnosis, screenings, assessments, referrals, outpatient linkages, individual and group counseling, psychoeducational groups, and case management for adults with substance use disorders in the Brazos Valley. Staff Member will have a caseload of clients for which they will provide outpatient substance use services. The principles of trauma informed care are utilized, and trauma is considered at every phase of treatment. Staff members will apply stages of change theory and utilize motivational interviewing as engagement intervention. Service coordination involves accessing medical, social, educational, and other appropriate services that will help an individual achieve a quality of life and community participation acceptable to the individual. *Education: Requires Bachelors Degree in a Behavioral, Social Science, Humanities or Education field. *Experience: Requires experience working with individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders, must be able to work independently as well as with a team. Good organizational skills are necessary. *Hours of Work: Generally, MondayFriday 8am-5pm; adjustments in work hours warranted to meet the needs of the program. *Crisis on Call work required as agency need dictates. *Licensure/Certification: Ability to be credentialed as Qualified Mental Health Professional. Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or LCDC-Intern certification. Valid drivers license and are insurable by agency insurance.
