CERTIFIED FAMILY PARTNER (62) Open Until Filled Salary: $22,894 to $25,016 Annually Salary is based on education and experience

Job Description: A Certified Family Partner (CFP) actively supports the caregivers of a child/youth in mental health service through advocacy, mentoring, role modeling and serving as support group facilitator. The CFP may also provide parenting skills training to caregivers according to HHSC guidelines. The CFP helps a family engage and actively participate in services. Assist caregivers in the navigating of child serving systems including mental health, education, juvenile justice, social security disability, and child protective services. The CFP serves as a member of the Wraparound Team and participates in the wraparound planning process. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Has at least 1 year of lived experience raising a child or youth with an emotional or mental health issue as a parent or LAR. Has at least 1 year of experience navigating a child-serving system (e.g., mental health, juvenile justice, social security, or special education) as a parent or LAR. Hours of Work: Generally, MondayFriday 8am-5pm; adjustment in work hours warranted to meet the needs of the program. Licenses/Certifications: Become a Certified Family Partner within the first year of employment. Valid Texas drivers license and must be insurable by Agency insurance. Physical Requirements: Ability to drive a vehicle, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, simple grasping, walking, operating office equipment include computer skills, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write, count, maintain confidentiality, and the ability to work closely with others, ability to lift/carry under 30lbs; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
