An Advanced Mechanical Engineer job opportunity is open with our client in Canonsburg, PA. . In this role you will be responsible for the design of electro-mechanical assemblies. To be considered for this role you will have a B. S. Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5-7 years of related work experience using Solidworks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and analyzing components and electro-mechanical assemblies

• Creating and maintaining mechanical solid models and drawings using SolidWorks

• Creating and managing bills of material (BOM) within company's data management systems

• Developing fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts

• Developing and presenting PowerPoint slides documenting design progress

• Participating in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis

• Developing technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a US Citizen

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field

• 5+ years of job-related experience OR

• Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience

• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings

• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards

• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects

• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals

• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
