Summary of Position:

This position is designed to perform all basic electrical work, de-energizing large mobile mining equipment according to the isolation/lockout standards, trouble-shoot electrical systems on mobile mining equipment, plant and shop facilities, install electrical conduit, and read and interpret single-line diagrams and schematic drawings.

Necessary Qualifications:

• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas is essential.
• Troubleshooting and repair experience with high voltage DC motors and generators.
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair experience preferred
• Technical school degree in Industrial Electronics preferred
• Previous experience with large mobile mining equipment preferred
• MSHA approval for surface mine electrician preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.Works in site environments on rotating shifts with variable hours.
