Summary/Objective Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered family.

Essential Functions

Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment.

Examines machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble, dismantles or partly dismantles machines, and makes repairs mainly using hand tools.

Replaces broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock, orders the production of a replacement part by a machine shop, or sends malfunctioning equipment to machine shops for major repairs.

Prepares written specifications for production of replacement parts by machine shops, or for equipment repair by machine shops or vendors.

Reassemble equipment post-repair and restore to full operational condition.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Successful graduation from a formalized apprenticeship program in machining/fabrication or a 2-year Trade School Program and have three (3) years of experience in machine/fabrication shop operations to include mill and lathe operations.
