We are looking for a reliable and engaging individual to join our resource navigation department at our Monessen welcome center. As a Resource Navigator, you will work with individuals and families using your experience in case-management to assist them in reaching self-sufficiency. You will accomplish this by:

• Meeting with community members to determine barriers to self-sufficiency and a plan of action,
• Monitoring and evaluating of progress through home visits, phone contacts, office visits, and written correspondence and providing continuous feedback,
• Making referrals to other programs within the agency to meet the needs of program participants, and
• Maintaining accurate and timely records and preparing adequate and timely reports.

We (Westmoreland Community Action) are a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing, counseling, support, education, intervention, collaborations, partnerships, information, referrals, and networking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• One year of prior casework required.
• Must be able to provide or successfully obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background, and sex offender registry clearances and mandated reporting certificate.
• Valid driver's license required and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability auto insurance.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite.

*Annual income depending on experience: $39,312.00 - $48,152.00. *This position is paid hourly and is non-exempt.

*Physical requirements: *This job requires sitting for long periods of time, standing, lifting and carrying up to twenty pounds, using the upper body unrestrictedly, using corrected or uncorrected hearing and vision within normal ranges, and speaking clearly.
